Bargaining Resumes Next Week
It’s Time for Local 7 to Put You First

King Soopers/City Market and UFCW Local 7 are scheduled to meet for two days starting Tuesday, July 1 to continue bargaining new meat and clerk contracts. These are the only bargaining dates currently scheduled.

What’s Happened So Far
For months, the Company has had a meaningful offer on the table—one that includes wage increases, protects affordable healthcare, and reflects the important contributions you make every day. We’ve also shown flexibility in reaching tentative agreements on multiple language items throughout the past eight months of bargaining.

Putting Associates First
We hope Local 7 leaders are ready to join us in putting you first by working to find the common ground needed to reach an agreement next week. In fact, various banners within the Kroger family of companies have worked with their union counterparts to put associates first in contract negotiations. Over the past few weeks fully recommended tentative agreements have been reached with several UFCW Locals. Fair and balanced deals were able to be reached by putting associates first and working through areas of disagreement with local union leaders:

  • Fred Meyer / QFC (Seattle) – Ratified Contract
  • Kroger Atlanta Division – Ratified Contract
  • Kroger Mid-Atlantic Division – Ratified Contract
  • Smith’s (New Mexico) – Recommended Tentative Agreement

King Soopers remains focused on what matters most – reaching a fair and balanced agreement. It’s time to stop needlessly stalling. Other UFCW Locals have reached agreements that will ensure associate wage increases as soon as possible. It’s time for Local 7 to stop the delays and put you first.
