UFCW Local 7 Rejects Proposed Peaceful Relations Agreement and Healthcare Coverage Offer

Today the Union rejected the Company’s proposed Peaceful Relations Agreement. This agreement would have allowed negotiations to move forward without the threat of additional work stoppages, providing stability for associates and customers.

Additionally, the Company’s proposal included an offer to ensure associates engaged in strike activities would not experience a loss of healthcare coverage due to insufficient hours worked.

What This Means for You

  • Healthcare Coverage at Risk: Without this agreement, striking associates may lose their healthcare benefits due to insufficient hours worked.
  • Continued Uncertainty: Instead of prioritizing a fair resolution, the Union’s rejection of this proposal keeps you and your families in a state of uncertainty.
  • A Missed Opportunity for Stability: Our proposal would have ensured that associates could return to work with the reassurance of stable pay and benefits while negotiations continued.
