King Soopers/City Market and UFCW Local 7 are scheduled to meet for two days starting Monday, December 16 to continue bargaining new meat and clerk contracts.
What’s Happened So Far
During our last bargaining session, the company shared with the union a comprehensive offer that included wage increases, affordable healthcare, and pension protections. You can get the facts of our comprehensive offer by clicking here or speaking with your leader. We believe this is a good offer that supports you, protects your benefits, and invests in your future.
We look forward to receiving the union’s response to our comprehensive offer as we work toward reaching an agreement and we have invited them to make a comprehensive offer of their own. As a reminder, the union has not yet shared their staffing proposal or their economic proposals (pay rates, health and welfare and pension). Sharing these proposals will help the company to fully understand all the changes the union would like to make to the current contracts. This would also help to move to the bargaining process forward.
It is our goal to work together to find common ground and continue moving the bargaining process forward so we can reach an agreement that is good for our associates, our stores and the communities we serve.
